Random Group Generator privacy policy

Random Group Generator splits names into teams for copying, printing or CSV export.

Data and storage

Browser extension storage holds two records: randomGroupGenerator.v1 contains names, saved lists, attendance, timestamps, grouping rules, constraints, seed, splitter version, controls and export count; randomGroupGeneratorRatePrompt contains prompt times, responses and dismissals. Team cards are recomputed in the open tab.

Feedback and ratings

One to three stars opens the hosted rating page with stars and language; the goodbye survey opens on removal. Optional reasons, comments, version and language reach the publisher through Telegram. Four or five stars opens Chrome Web Store reviews when configured; otherwise a message appears.

Analytics

The welcome page and the hosted goodbye and rating pages carry analytics used to count installs and removals by country.

Retention and deletion

Active names remain until replaced, cleared or uninstall; saved lists remain until deleted or uninstall; controls remain until changed or uninstall, and the rating record remains until uninstall. CSV exports require separate deletion; submitted feedback is handled separately from extension records.

Your rights

Data is not sold or transferred for unrelated purposes. Applicable rights include access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawing consent and complaints to a supervisory authority, without discrimination. Where GDPR applies, processing relies on consent and the requested feature.

Intended for users 13 and older.

Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
